Themes are predicted as a future project but not background. We'd need better servers and a new layout for the chat to make that happen. Which'll need new layout for file upload, file filter and lots of other stuff to develop. Basically it's not required atm and cannot be happen neither. If you're looking for different themes you might use "Themes for Samsung Galaxy Browser" which will change a site's Black&White layout, I tested it myself.
